6-17-05: Boycott Watch dot com joins the list of boycott resources below. Boycott Watch helps tries to set the record straight on which products are actually French owned and which are only French sounding or have an office in France. You might want to check this out in case you find something there you are boycotting that you don't have to do without.

5-24-05: Maybe we can get the French to boycott themselves! You might remember Charles de Gaulle. On the 13th of November, 1945, the first Constituent Assembly unanimously elected de Gaulle as head of the French government. He held the post until resigning on 20th January, 1946. Even their own leader, unanimously elected, couldn't stomach the French. As reported in the Sunday newspaper magazine Parade on May 22, 2005:

Even Charles de Gaulle found his countrymen hard to take. "I've tried to lift France out of the mud," he wrote. "But she will return to her errors and vomitings. I can't prevent the French from being French."

9-10-04: Kenneth Timmerman, a New York Times best-selling author, lived and worked as an investigative reporter in France for 18 years. His latest book, The French Betrayal of America, was released last week from Crown Forum. In his book he exposes France for the pant load of corruption it has become. Included in his charges are:

  • Chirac and UN ambassador de Villepin assured President Bush and Secretary of State Powell support in the UN and Iraq and then at the last moment pulled the rug out from under them.
  • Chirac sold Saddam a nuclear reactor that Saddam himself called a "nuclear-bomb plant" that later had to be taken out with a daring air strike by the Israelis.
  • France continues to send trade [missile-design/chemical plant] delegations to Tehran and to defend Iran as it hides its nuclear-weapons program from the IAEA.
  • Fomenting an ecological disaster: Saddam drained the rich Howeiza marshes, an area the size of Delaware, and sent the Republican Guards to massacre the tribes people there to make the area safe for French oil engineers and French oil workers.
  • The war in Iraq was indeed a war for oil - waged by the French, not the United States. The Chirac government was desperate to maintain its exclusive - and outrageously exploitative - oil contracts with Saddam's regime, which would have earned the French an estimated $100 billion during the first seven years of operations.

For an in depth interview of Kenneth Timmerman about his new book, visit National Review Online.

6-18-04: Still in mourning for his business partner Saddam Hussein, French president Jacques Chirac refused an invitation to attend Ronald Reagan's funeral, nor did the French government even plan to send a representative until a stink arose that rivaled Chirac's unwashed French armpits. Chirac, a rude and petty little man with a deep hatred for America, was only an hour away from the funeral proceedings as he was attending the G-8 summit in Georgia at the time of the funeral. Mikhail Gorbachev, the leader of the Soviet Union during the time it was defeated by Reagan attended the funeral for criminy sake! Hat's off to Gorbachev for being such a class act in this instance by the way. Whether you cared for Reagan or not, Chirac's snub was an insult to ALL Americans and should be considered a further warning to America that the French government harbors us ill will and is no longer an allied nation. You can order a "Boycott France" bumper sticker to show your disgust with the French government.

2-6-04: I have another France bashing political cartoon for you. I love this junk and I'm guessing you like this stuff too but are too politically correct to admit it for fear all your compassionate, open-minded, big-tent, inclusive, liberal coworkers will hate your freaking guts and ostracize you forever for having an opinion that differs from theirs. Here is what you do: put your coat over the monitor then, peeking through the sleeve hole, hit the link to the Boycott France page and click on the Surrender Monkey link in the "Check This Out" box. If you start to giggle just tell them that you are reading a hard hitting online LA Times article about how stupid Bush is and that if they do as you are doing they can see it too. Guaranteed good for a second giggle as you watch them peer through their sleeve holes to try to see how stupid Bush is.

1-15-04: Just when you thought it was safe to be a woman and wear no pants, there is an update at the Boycott France page! It is a political cartoon that throws the assertion that GW is a cowboy back into France's hypocritical face. Of all the countries to accuse the US of that, what gaul, France is one of the most imperialist countries ever to exist on planet Earth! It makes sense that they hate to see a dictator replaced by a democracy, that is their own history time and again! OK, I'm through ranting. Click on the "French Quilt" link in the "Check this out!" box.

As reported on FoxNews 10-8-03: France honors a brutal convicted cop killer! In another example of France seeking to hurt the USA, the Mayor of Paris, Bertrand Delanoe, has made convicted cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal an honorary citizen. Abu-Jamal is waiting on death row for the cold blooded murder of Philadelphia police officer Daniel Faulkner. In her own words officer Faulkner's grieving widow said, "I feel that the French society is really twisted in doing such an unspeakable act as making this man an honorary citizen" Abu-Jamal shot officer Faulkner in the back and as the wounded officer lay on the ground, Abu-Jamal stood over him and emptied his gun into Faulkner's face. Abu-Jamal has since lost all his appeals and because of the reams of evidence to the brutal and heartless crime, is deemed by the fair minded to be truly guilty. However UCLA teacher and Black Panther sympathizer, Angela Davis and the extremist Hollywood activists Susan Sarandon, Ed Asner, and Mike Farrel have taken up this jerk's cause and have given him celebrity status in the hearts of those who hate America, including France. Like the heartless thugs they are, Susan Sarandon, Ed Asner and Mike Farrel never responded to the letters from the widow asking for a discussion on the matter. Shame on them all!

As reported on The O'Reilly Factor on 9/15/03 - Recently Secretary of State Colin Powell tried to convince the United Nations Security Council to help the Coalition secure Iraq. The U.N. is ready to do so but France is standing in the way. This puts the Coalition forces in jeopardy as instability means more violence against our troops in Iraq. Has France become an enemy to America? In an ongoing (as of this week) poll at billoreilly.com 91% of over 25,000 respondants said "Yes"! billoreilly.com also provides a list of French websites you can visit that will allow you to email the French companies and tell them what you think. Look for the Bill O'Reilly link below in the List of Boycott Resources.

Reported in the first week of July, 2003 on The O'Reilly Factor on Fox News - France is harvesting the rotted fruit of their anti-American positions and statements. It is estimated that 43% of Americans are participating in the boycott. Wine sales in America are down 26%, French imports in general are down 10% and tourism is down 25%. The slow down in the tourist trade has had a devastating impact on the hostelry industry with French hotels operating at 30% of their capacity. Even the gigantic annual French air show saw ONE THIRD of the American buyers it normally enjoys. Keep up the great work fellow citizens, it is through our grassroots efforts that ordinary folks like you and I can make our collective voice heard. Hopefully even that America hating dunce Jacques Chirac will see how wildly unpopular his terrorist-and-dictator-nurturing rhetoric has made his country. By the way, Fox News reported on 7-16-03 that Hollywood actor Johnny Depp says that he is sick of America and wants to move to, and raise his kids in, Paris France. Lets all chip in for his plane tickets and get that done!

As reported on The O'Reilly Factor on FOX News 6-17-03, France recently refused to isolate or impose sanctions on Hamas, a well funded terrorist group who is responsible for the death of over 350 men, women and children over the last 3 years. Why the hell would you try to protect such horrifically evil people? Why does the French government think it is a good idea to run interference for a notorious and brutal terrorist group? All the more reason to renew your resolve to boycott France. Let them know what you think of their actions in the only way you can make them listen, through their wallets!

France has every right to disagree with America. But France has moved from simple dissent to active hostility toward America. French President Chirac warned East European nations that if they side with America, France will oppose their membership in the European Union. France went to Africa to twist the arms of client states to oppose America in it's efforts to protect the world and depose a brutal dictator.

William Safire reported in the New York Times that France has been secretly helping to arm Iraq and has been helping Iraq build long range missiles banned by the United Nations sanctions against Iraq.

Bill O'Reilly has reported that France conspired with Iraq and Syria to move Iraq's weapons of mass destruction to Syria to hide them with the intention of discrediting America. If nothing else, France is responsible for helping to preserve some of the worst weapons of mass destruction in human history.

Fox News reports that French embassies in Damascus Syria have been very busy filling out visas since the fall of Baghdad, presumably for high ranking Iraqi fugitives. Israeli intelligence reports that high ranking Iraqi's are leaving Damascus on flights of undetermined destinations. You connect the dots.

Fox News reports that the CIA has confirmed that France has issued visas to top Iraqi Officials since the war with Iraq started and that these officials have escaped to Europe.

Just as France is exercising its right to disagree, Americans can exercise their right to boycott and avoid helping companies and countries that do not stand with America.

Ever heard of Lagardere SCA? No? Well maybe because it's a French company. OK ... have you ever heard of Hachette Filipacchi Media U.S.? Probably not, but Hachette Filipacchi publishes some magazines you may have heard of. Those magazines would be Elle, Car & Driver, Women's Day and others. Now it's getting familiar, isn't it? OK, so we have Car & Driver which is published by Hachette Filipacchi which is owned by Lagardere SCA which is a French Corporation.

So .. are we finished here? No, not quite. It seems that a man who has been the news quite a bit of late owns around two percent of Lagardere SCA. About $90 million dollars worth. His name? Saddam Hussein.

In the last 18 months there have been over 400 hate crimes against Jewish targets in France including, in recent days, arson attacks against synagogues, Jewish institutions, beatings of Jewish school children and pedestrians and other acts of threats and intimidation.
