3-31: The NRA Archive is updated today with the monthly NRA page features for March: Armed Citizen, Standing Guard, and The President's Column. Each of these features are valuable, information packed columns that you will find extremely helpful and interesting even if you are not a firearms owner yourself. For one, it keeps you apprised of the relative honesty and the intentions of the politicos you vote for. For another, it shows you the value of owning your own firearm for protection, recreation, hobby, business, and because for now anyway... you can. The Archives are available any day of the month from the NRA page in the Extra department, look for the link down at the bottom of the table of contents.
3-29: Team Crunchinator weighs in today with a meh report of only 7 work units completed and 1,652 points earned. Check out our mediocre results in the Hobbies department.
3-26: The Chili Pepper Gardeners Diary reopens today with a new year filled with new chilies! Website readers Ken Charniak and his wife Charma have supplied me with 6 ghost chilies, the fabled Bhut Jolokia, the world's hottest chilies! It starts burning today in the Chili Peppers section of the Hobbies department.
3-24: "As president of this Association, I'd like to personally invite you to attend the greatest gathering in freedom's name of the entire year, in the entire country." Find out what the president of the NRA, Ronald Schmeits, is talking about on the President's Column in the NRA section of the Extra department.
3-22: On again off again Team Crunchinator over in the Hobbies department weighs in again this week. It's not our fault, their servers fail to provide a replacement work unit after we upload our completed one. Sometimes it takes days. Wish they'd get their act together. Anyway we earned 2,948 points by crunching 15 work units.
3-18: Joe Welsch just can't get enough of St. Patrick's Day. Check it out on the Joke of the Weak.
3-17: Happy Saint Patrick's Day! The Standing Guard column in the NRA section of the Extra department is updated today. Be there or be out of ammo.
3-10: "Armed Citizen" is an article in the "American Rifleman" very similar to one of my favorite feature articles in "Guns & Ammo" called "Armed Response". These articles consist of short accounts describing the use of firearms by private citizens to protect lives and property. These are the stories that the mainstream media ignore because they are not so much interested in presenting the truth as much as they are interested in furthering their anti-gun agendas. Some very interesting reading here. It's going on in the NRA section of the Extra department.
3-8: New stats for Folding@home. This time without all the forgetting and remembering and junk. Team Crunchinator in the Hobbies department crunched 9 work units earning 2,124 points. We are gaining in the standings of top number crunchers by a small percentage.
3-5: I completely forgot to update the Folding@home page! Fortunately I saved the stats from last Monday before letting it slip my mind so you can find last Mondays stats on the Team Crunchinator page in the Hobbies department.
3-1: March comes in like a lion and leaves like a lamb. Somewhere, somehow... a whole lot of de-fanging, de-clawing, fur fluffing, and attitude adjustment is supposed to happen. Well not on my watch it doesn't. You think things were out of hand in February, you ain't seen nothing yet. March will own you by the seat of your pants right out through the swinging doors of April. Buckle up for March and pray you didn't turn the airbags off because the House of Wacks just rolled over into a new month!
