News of the Day

4-30: It's still cold and wet and cloudy and it's been stunting the growth of the Bhut Jolokia ghost chilies. Read the grisly details on the Chili Pepper Gardener's Diary in the Chili Peppers section of the Hobbies department.

4-28: The NRA Archive is updated today with the monthly NRA page features for April: Armed Citizen, Standing Guard, and The President's Column. Each of these features are valuable, information packed columns that you will find extremely helpful and interesting even if you are not a firearms owner yourself. For one, it keeps you apprised of the relative honesty and the intentions of the politicos you vote for. For another, it shows you the value of owning your own firearm for protection, recreation, hobby, business, and because for now anyway... you can. The Archives are available any day of the month from the NRA page in the Extra department, look for the link down at the bottom of the table of contents.

4-26: Team Crunchinator located deep in the uncharted regions of the Hobbies department must have crunched some pretty big work units because they earned a whopping 2,202 points crunching a mere 9 work units. If you won't believe it until you see it then I have provided the links. Can you handle the truth? Well punk, can you? Click on the links then. You don't have to wait until you've read the entire thing, most of it is just going to more of the same, taunting you to click the links. So, click them already, my fingers are getting tired. Go on, you know you want to. Click on the jolly candy like red links.

4-23: It's been cold and wet and cloudy ever since I planted the Bhut Jolokia ghost chilies, and they've been growing about as well as you would expect. Read all the details on the Chili Pepper Gardener's Diary in the Chili Peppers section of the Hobbies department.

4-21: "With spring's arrival, now is a great time to gather your family, get outside and engage in a sport that's more closely tied to American history and constitutional freedom than any other-the fun, satisfying and freedom-affirming discipline of competitive shooting!" Well shoot, if you want to read more than you'll have to jump over to the President's Column in the NRA section of the Extra department.

4-19: Team Crunchinator over in the Hobbies department reports a rather lackluster week at Folding@home. We weren't busy here so it had to have been the Stanford servers being down or backed up. We crunched a mere 8 work units earning an uninspired 1,966 points.

4-16: I've been waiting for this one. First we learn they are using Bhut Jolokias to keep elephants out of farmlands, so why not weaponize it for people? That's what I'd do, boil some up and load it into a SuperSoaker then make some home invader wish he had been shot instead. Then I'd shoot him, because I'm an agreeable person. Read all about weaponized Bhut Jolokia on the Facts page in the Chili Peppers section of the Hobbies department.

4-14: "When the U.S. Supreme Court overturned the ban on pre-election corporate and union political speech in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission in January, we expected expressions of outrage from the speech ban crowd-but the venom, lies and intentional distortion by the media and self-serving politicians are truly shocking." Read all about it on the Standing Guard page in the NRA section of the Extra department.

4-12: Team Crunchinator over in the Hobbies department had a good week crunching data for Folding@home. We earned 2,265 points by crunching 11 work units. It's good when the servers are responding to requests for new data packets to crunch.

4-9: The Chili Pepper Gardener's Diary is updated today in the Chili Peppers section of the Hobbies department. There has been some planting going on. All my Ghost chilies are in the ground!

4-8: These Folding@home stats are from Sunday but since the monthly rollover took precedence on Monday, it was deferred to Tuesday which didn't happen because other Stuff did. Wednesday had it's own news but now on Thursday there is an opening for the stats, which aren't particularly good. We earned 1,730 points by crunching 7 work units. We could have done better but the servers were slow in supplying us with the work units we were requesting. Team Crunchinator is updated today in the Hobbies department.

4-7: "Armed Citizen" is an article in the "American Rifleman" very similar to one of my favorite feature articles in "Guns & Ammo" called "Armed Response". These articles consist of short accounts describing the use of firearms by private citizens to protect lives and property. These are the stories that the mainstream media ignore because they are not so much interested in presenting the truth as much as they are interested in furthering their anti-gun agendas. Some very interesting reading here. It's going on in the NRA section of the Extra department.

4-5: It's true this is late but the House of Wacks would like to wish you a happy and prosperous April Fools Day. Just kidding, we want you sad and poor, with your hand held out to the House of Wacks like a socialist to their nanny government. Just kidding, we don't care about you! Just kidding, we don't care about anything! K, enough of this BS, the House of Wacks is rolled over for a new month. Welcome to April, don't let March smack you on the butt on the way out.

No news on the weekends. The Joke of the Weak is updated every weekday. As usual, the Team Crunchinator page is updated every Monday. The NRA pages: President's Column, Standing Guard and Armed Citizen are updated each month. To catch up on news past visit, the News Archives.
