News of the Day

12-25: Merry Christmas!

12-24: The NRA Archive is updated today with the monthly NRA page features for December: Armed Citizen, Standing Guard, and The President's Column. Each of these features are valuable, information packed columns that you will find extremely helpful and interesting even if you are not a firearms owner yourself. For one, it keeps you apprised of the relative honesty and the intentions of the politicos you vote for. For another, it shows you the value of owning your own firearm for protection, recreation, hobby, business, and because for now anyway... you can. The Archives are available any day of the month from the NRA page in the Extra department, look for the link down at the bottom of the table of contents.

12-23: Ronald L. Schmeits is currently the president of the National Rifle Association. The official journal of the NRA is a magazine called the "American Rifleman". Mr Schmeits has a column in this journal called "The President's Column". This web page is an exact transcript of this months column. Find it in the NRA section of the Extra department.

12-22: Wayne LaPierre is currently the Executive Vice-President of the National Rifle Association. Mr. LaPierre also has a column in the "American Rifleman" called "Standing Guard". This web page is an exact transcript of this months column. Find it in the NRA section of the Extra department.

12-21: "Armed Citizen" is an article in the "American Rifleman" very similar to one of my favorite feature articles in "Guns & Ammo" called "Armed Response". These articles consist of short accounts describing the use of firearms by private citizens to protect lives and property. These are the stories that the mainstream media ignore because they are not so much interested in presenting the truth as much as they are interested in furthering their anti-gun agendas. Some very interesting reading here. It's going on in the NRA section of the Extra department.

12-18: A joke! Run read the joke!

12-17: The NRA Archive is updated today with the monthly NRA page features for November: Armed Citizen, Standing Guard, and The President's Column.

12-16: "You can make a real difference in this fight to protect our Second Amendment Right to Keep and Bear Arms and our freedom to hunt." Read how on the President's Column in the NRA section of the Extra department.

12-15: Wayne LaPierre, the Executive Vice President of the NRA, defends the 1st Amendment as well as the 2nd in this month's Standing Guard column in the NRA section of the Extra department.

12-14: "Armed Citizen" is an article in the "American Rifleman" very similar to one of my favorite feature articles in "Guns & Ammo" called "Armed Response".

12-9: The NRA Archive is updated today with the monthly NRA page features for October: Armed Citizen, Standing Guard, and The President's Column.

12-8: Another day, another joke. Enjoy.

12-7: "I urge you to take advantage of all the NRA is and does to introduce someone new to our family and our freedom." This from Ronald Schmeits, President of the NRA. Read up on how you can help Americans enjoy their Second Amendment rights in America. It's going on now in the President's Column in the NRA section of the Extra department.

12-3: Another day, another joke. Enjoy.

12-2: Just a joke for today, but then Joe Welsch my chief joke contributer and get-off-your-butt nag would fine with that.

12-1: November consists of nothing but leftovers now. December is the place to be: snow, fat men in red suits breathing whiskey on you, relatives you wish you could teleport into the sun visiting you, fruit cake, holiday shopping, spending out the wazoo, and crawling around on your roof to install Christmas lights that don't work... Wait a sec, are there any leftovers leftover? Time to go retro. You too can hide in November 2009 in the News Archives until December blows over.

No news on the weekends. The Joke of the Weak is updated every weekday. As usual, the Team Crunchinator page is updated every Monday. The NRA pages: President's Column, Standing Guard and Armed Citizen are updated each month. To catch up on news past visit, the News Archives.
