5-30: Success in this year's chili pepper garden has been yanked back at the last moment from the jaws of defeat. Read all about it in the Chili Pepper Gardener's Diary in the Chili Pepper section of the Hobbies department.
5-28: The NRA Archive is updated today with the monthly NRA page features for May: Armed Citizen, Standing Guard, and The President's Column. Each of these features are valuable, information packed columns that you will find extremely helpful and interesting even if you are not a firearms owner yourself. For one, it keeps you apprised of the relative honesty and the intentions of the politicos you vote for. For another, it shows you the value of owning your own firearm for protection, recreation, hobby, business, and because for now anyway... you can. The Archives are available any day of the month from the NRA page in the Extra department, look for the link down at the bottom of the table of contents.
5-26: Today is Memorial Day here in America, a day when we remember those who gave their lives in the service of our country. As a veteran myself, I appreciate their contribution, though I'm glad all I'll be remembered for is my loud stinky butt. Meanwhile the Team Crunchinator page in the Hobbies department is updated today.
5-23: The good news just keeps coming in the Chili Pepper Gardner's Diary over in the Chili Peppers section of the Hobbies department. I'm going to have more than enough sprouts to stock my garden with chili peppers.
5-21: Thomas Paine wrote: "These are the times that try men's souls. The summer soldier and sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered." See how this relates to today's events in the President's Column in the NRA section of the Extra department.
5-19: Despite a brown-out inspired computer crash overnight that took the entire network down, Team Crunchinator still managed to crank out 10 work units and earn 2,504 points. Not bad for a couple a tards. It's all going down in the Hobbies department today.
5-16: Things just might be looking up for that poor gardner over in the Chile Pepper Gardener's Diary. Hot news flash over in the Chili Peppers section of the Hobbies department!
5-14: "Obama's alleged support of the Second Amendment is utterly cynical and false" As is any liberal's in my opinion, but you aren't here for my opinions, and Wayne LaPierre in the Standing Guard column isn't offering opinions - just hard facts. Read more in the NRA section of the Extra department.
5-12: Another good week with Folding@home despite Termie off in the depths of hell killing demons playing Doom 3. We earned 2,527 points by crunching 11 work units. Our weekly progress as Team Crunchinator is on display in the Hobbies department.
5-7: "Armed Citizen" is an article in the "American Rifleman" very similar to one of my favorite feature articles in "Guns & Ammo" called "Armed Response". These articles consist of short accounts describing the use of firearms by private citizens to protect lives and property. These are the stories that the mainstream media ignore because they are not so much interested in presenting the truth as much as they are interested in furthering their anti-gun agendas. Some very interesting reading here. It's going on in the NRA section of the Extra department.
5-5: Happy Cinco de Mayo! Today is the traditional day steeped in tradition where where all of Mexico traditionally remembers those of them who went before them and celebrates their forefathers beer drinking with... MORE beer drinking. I'm pretty sure this is what happened, Pancho Villa (or someone) kicked that guy in the bee costume (or someone) out of Machu Picchu (or somewhere) then got drunk. Anyway who cares, that doesn't matter, what matters is that you go out and buy yourself a case of Cervesa and drink yourself blind. Remember to limit your driver to only a six pack. You youngsters have it easy these days, many of the people in your parents time died from swallowing pop tops! In other news, Team Crunchinator over in Hobbies is reporting this weeks crunching results.
5-2: Things don't look so hot for the chili pepper garden. Read the seemingly grim news on in the Chili Pepper Gardener's Diary in the Chili Peppers section of the Hobbies department.
5-1: MAY DAY! MAY DAY! Echo seven zero niner this is Tango Bravo Charlie, the House of Wacks has capsized in the Sea of Mediocrity.
